((Turned out a little crappier than I imagined it would look, but then again, I didn't try super-hard to make it look comparatively "good," nor did I have the patience to in school today. Hehe))
So, in my new game, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, ((which I fucking love, by the way,)) you get a sort of "sidekick" a few hours into the story: a woman named Lydia. At first, you might think, "Oh cool, this girl's gonna follow me around and fight with me all the time, and she can carry my stuff too if I have too much. This is awesome." Pretty soon it becomes obvious how useless Lydia actually is for anything other than an extra 300 lbs of inventory space. She tends to fall really far behind me when I'm adventuring, and as a result, misses a lot of the action, more often than less when I really could use some backup, like when I'm fighting a dragon out in the open. The worst part is that she always shows up right after the action ends. My best guess is that anyone else you can gain the allegiance of in the game probably follows the same coding, and will give me the same result. ...So "sidekicks" in Skyrim are one of the few little details I could rant about for a while ((again though, note that it's not a rage rant, so much as a humorously annoyed rant; it can be funny how badly she fails at more than just lagging behind and missing the action)) but it sure makes for a good cartoon. lol
This happened to me today XD I was trying to get to Karthspire, and this dragon attacked. I was like, "Alright." So i started fighting, and Lydia magicly disappears! After the dragon finally dies, Lydia reappears. And the dragon killed my dog that I payed 500 gold for not 20 minutes ago.
This is why I like Conjuration/Sneak/Archery. I can just sit back, summon an apropriate Atronach or two and say "Have fun!" while I go off and hide with the occasional arrow or two for support. The Atronachs have alot of "agro" (Enemies tend to target them first) which means I can sit back and watch the fight while replacing the fallen Atronachs immediately. I fought FOUR Ancient Dragons at once and only took minor damage during the whole fight. At first I thought, "OH MAN! F*** MY LIFE!" then once the fight started, it was like, "Ya kno, 'dis ain't so bad..." *Drinks alittle mead from my lawn chair while casually summoning another atronach*
Yeah, she's a bitch with her sarcastic "I am sworn to carry your burdens" I found Jenessa is a lot more useful and informative with her remarks. Who knew the Dwemer were the same height as regular men.
i find it funny how so many people gripe about Lydia being incompetent, but then do everything they can to either save her life or avenge her death. imo, Uthgerd's the way to go, she's a real tank

Lol. Awesome comic, amazing work
One of the best moments in my time playing ever.
Jenessa even looks better in my opinion.
