The Old Warrior

The tale of Allazar dates back hundreds of years, and concludes with a witnessed account of the event of his death. As a matter of fact, though, it was never known exactly what happened to Allazar in what was believed to be his final moments. Allazar surely did endure and survive, but decided it be best that the world think him gone.

The curse upon Allazar's arm was originally believed to provide only a conduit for limited magic, which would spread further across his body if his limits were broken. What was not known was that the forces within his curse had another effect: the preservation of his originally mortal body. To this day, he has lived for hundreds of years, unnoticed by the world as anything other than a cloaked commoner. Despite, he has retained his love for adventure, and still has many, though not nearly as many as he had been through in his youth.

In his long life, Allazar has grown tall, now standing at a height of 7 feet, and as the curse upon him would have it, his body has hardly shown any sign of even days' worth of age. Only his eyes, now heavily lined and bagged; his voice, to an extent, having aged only a decade or two but bearing a lifetime's worth of gained wisdom; and his fur, still tinted brown but now mostly gray, and having grown out long over so many years, show true sign of age in Allazar. His still otherwise youthful body remains strong and agile, and undoubtedly more skilled after so many years, and few can still truly contend with him in a sword fight.

One interesting fact about Allazar at this age is that, unprecedented by all, and shocking to the few who know, is that he is blind. Allazar's eyes are one of the few pieces of him that have aged, and they lost functionality a very long time ago. Nonetheless, Allazar can, if necessary, produce an outlined image of his surroundings using his magic, though only temporarily, as it is a difficult procedure, and even without that, his other senses are extremely acute, and most certainly do more than make up for his lack of sight.

The purpose of this drawing is not to simply tell the world that my character Allazar will live to be hundreds of years old and remain as much of an adventurer as ever. Actually, I drew this because I have a new story idea, and Allazar is involved - a very old Allazar. I don't have much to say about the story idea right now, but I've already begun work on other characters that will be involved and who will be posted up as well very soon.
